Success for Shuttlecock Stars

2022 Rising Star, Lucy Dodd continued her progress at the recent u17 National Badminton Championships. Along with her partner Dan Kemp, from Cumbria, they retained the mixed doubles title that they won last year. Lucy also came close to winning a 2nd title but narrowly lost in the girls doubles final.

Will Smith, who has previously benefitted from Sport Newcastle's grant system, showed he is still in good form at the recent UK Parabadminton Championships in Glasgow. With his partner, he won the men's doubles championship for the 3rd time and was runner-up in the singles and mixed doubles.
