SOS for Success at Annual Golf Day

Sport Newcastle's Annual Golf Day took place at Ponteland Golf Club on 30th June. Despite showery weather in the afternoon, 27 teams of 4 players enjoyed a course in excellent condition and a competitive Texas Scramble. The winning team from SOS Group returned an excellent score of 50.1 net. Tier One Capital came 2nd and the team from Northumbria University were 3rd.

Sport Newcastle are Ponteland Golf Club's 'captains' charity of the year' and their support of the event was first class. 20 members took part, several members donated prizes as did the pro and assistant pro. However, the real winners were Sport Newcastle who raised over £5200 from the event.

SOS Group also deserve thanks for being joint sponsors of the event along with Tier One Capital.

We'll be back next year on Thursday 29th June 2023, hoping to raise at least that amount - in the sunshine!
