Jess Baker: Women's Amateur Champion

Jess Baker, 2018 Sport Newcastle Rising Star, recently became only the 5th English winner of the 119th Women's Amateur Championship.

Jess came through several rounds of the knock-out competition to beat Swedish golfer Louise Rydquist in the final 4 & 3.

Jess is a member of Gosforth Park Ladies, but is currently studying, and playing golf, at the University of Central Florida, Orlando.

This amazing win qualifies Jess to play in a series of prestigious women's golf events in the coming year. These include the AIG Women's Open, U.S. Women's Open, The Armundi Evian Championship and the Augusta National Women's Amateur.
