Wilkinson's Sword for Lifetime Achievement - Doddie Weir

Doddie Weir has been awarded the Wilkinson’s Sword for Lifetime Achievement. He’s a former Scottish and Newcastle Falcon’s rugby union player. Doddie became a folk hero in his beloved borders when he won six Scottish championships with Melrose. Then in 1995 he moved south to join Newcastle Falcon’s and the new club’s championship winning team was built. Doddie has 61 caps for Scotland and seven years at Kingston Park. In January 2019 Doddie was awarded an OBE for his services to rugby, motor neurone disease research and to the community in the Scottish Borders.
