Hat-Trick score for Covid-19 Grant

Keith Parsons, Community Sport Manager for West End based Hat-Trick, was delighted to hear that their bid to Sport Newcastle's Covid-19 Emergency Fund had been successful.

"We really do appreciate this support from Sport Newcastle. When I told the staff in our Zoom meeting, it gave everyone a lift and put a smile on faces."

Keith's team of staff and volunteers work with youngsters in some of the most deprived areas of Newcastle. Due to their efforts young people get a range sporting opportunities and life experiences that they would otherwise be denied. The grant will allow Hat-Trick to provide 3 coaches to run weekly group sessions, during the autumn term, in locally based 'bubbles' thus minimising the risks of Covid-19.
