Alex helps G.B. archers qualify for Tokyo

Alex Wise (Sport Newcastle funded scholar) recently competed as part of the G.B. men's recurve team at the 2019 Hyundai World Archery Championships in the Netherlands.

The team of 3 archers beat a very strong Japanese team, winning all 3 sets, to secure a team place at the Tokyo Olympics next year.

The G.B. women's team also secured their Olympic qualification at the same event.

Alex has now got a great incentive to keep performing at the same high standard to ensure he keeps his place in the team for Tokyo 2020. We're going to support him all the way there.
