Sport Newcastle Rising Star 2019- Maria Vogiatzi

Maria Vogiatzi is a 17-year-old sailor, with her home club based at South Shields sailing club. Over the past two years Maria has been competing internationally having won the British Junior Championships in 2016 then progressing into the Great Britain junior team for the European championships. Maria has now moved up to the national youth programme sailing a high performance two-person dinghy.

The 2019 Rising Star Awards were sponsored by North East based SOS Group, an independent leader in providing organisations across the UK and abroad with printers, copiers, MFDs, Document Management Solutions and support services.
