Sport Newcastle Rising Star 2019- Martin Bland

Martin Bland is a 15-year-old Trampolinist, Based at Apollo Trampoline club and currently studying at St Thomas More Academy. Since 2016 Martin has won a range of competitions; two UK competitions he achieved gold and silver at level 8, he then went onto qualify for the British finals in 2017 and competing in the Alsheer cup in Amsterdam where he was placed best for his age. In 2018 Martin won all 3 of his UK National competitions and represented England in Sweden and achieved a silver. Martin was part of the England junior team and has confirmed his place in the national squad for the year ahead.

The 2019 Rising Star Awards were sponsored by North East based SOS Group, an independent leader in providing organisations across the UK and abroad with printers, copiers, MFDs, Document Management Solutions and support services.
