Sarah Hunter, England Rugby Captain wins Frank Brennan Trophy

2016 World Rugby Women's Player of the Year, Sarah Hunter, MBE, was delighted to receive the Frank Brennan Trophy in recognition of an outstanding year as captain of the all conquering England Women's Rugby Union team.

Due to commitments with the England team Sarah, an ex-student of Longbenton Community College, was unable to attend the Annual Awards Dinner in March. Instead she was busy preparing to lead England to victory over Ireland which secured the Six Nations Grand Slam.

Sarah was delighted to receive the trophy and join such previous winners as; Steve Cram, Stephen Miller and Katy Mclean.

Despite being based in the south west for work Sarah is proud to call herself a Geordie and remains an ardent 'Toon' fan.
