Sport Newcastle raises thousands of pounds each year with every penny re-invested in the chaity’s work to help raise the standard and profile of the region’s leading athletes and clubs.The primary source of fundraising is the star studded Sport Newcastle Annual Dinner staged at Newcastle’s Civic Centre and the platform for the best in the city’s sporting talent. This must-attend annual event brings together the cream of local sport, business and media at a black tie event which is sold out months in advance. Past winners join the current standard bearers for Newcastle sport to raise a substantial sum through the sale of tables, a sports-led auction – featuring exclusive memorabilia – and a raffle.
Aside from the annual dinner, funds are raised through Sport Newcastle’s groundbreaking Corporate Sponsorship scheme, club subscriptions and the popular annual golf day.
